RENEWAL OF THE MIND

A Christian's spiritual struggle is not waged against any earthly opponent, but against the spiritual evil that fills the world. The Bible refers to these evil spiritual forces as "principalities and powers." In Scripture, Satan is characterized as the “accuser of the brethren”: (Rev.12:10), our “adversary”(I Pet. 5: 8), “the devil” (Matt. 4:1), our “enemy”(Matt. 13:39), the “evil one” (I Jn. 5:19), the “father of lies” (Jn. 8:44), a “murder”(Jn. 8:44), a “roaring Lion seeking to devour us,”(I Pet. 5:8,9), and the “tempter”(Matt. 4:3).

FREEDOM

Christians can live free from mental torture, panic, envy, hatred, pride, self-pity, addiction, gluttony and all other forms of bondage, oppression and defilement!

There are two main causes for a person’s inner problems:

The first point is what the Word calls “the flesh, or the ‘old man.” The old man that part of the person that is the carnal nature of the person’s flesh and it is the rebellious person’s will that is being influenced and tempted by Satan.

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin,” (Rom. 6:6).

MOVING MOUNTAINS

Jesus said that if we would believe, we could even say to a mountain, “Be thou removed and cast into the sea, and it would be done: “And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done, 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.,” (Matt. 21:20-22).

1) Jesus came to save us and teach us how to defeat the powers of the devil.

2) We defeat Satan the same way He did.

3) We speak to the problem, using His name and His delegated authority.

4) We imitate His ministry.

UNLEASHED SPIRITUAL POWER

Before and after His resurrection, Jesus unleashed spiritual power and even nature obeyed his will.

·         Jesus commanded by the Word.

·         He spoke the word and water was made into wine.

·         He blessed the bread and the fishes and they were multiplied.

·         He spoke the word to dead Lazarus and he came out of the grave.

·         Jesus commanded demons to leave a writhing victim alone and to come out of him.

·         The person was loosed that same hour.

·         These and many other works show spiritual power in action.

GENERAL CONFESSION AND PRAYER 

Search me, O God and know my heart: Try me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting, (Psa. 139:23).

Father: I praise You for this wonderful privilege of sitting in Your throne room with Jesus Christ. Your presence is strength for my soul. I give You glory that You loved the world so that You sent Your Son Jesus Christ in mercy for humankind that we will not perish. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah who came in the flesh to destroy the works of Satan. He died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I confess all my sins and repent every evil sin that I have ever committed and claim forgiveness and cleansing according to (I Jn. 1:9)

 I believe that Jesus’ blood cleanses me now from all sin. Thank You Lord Jesus for redeeming me, cleansing me and justifying me and sanctifying me with Your blood; Lord open my spiritual eyes and sharpen my spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit of Truth is saying to me. Be stow upon me strength to tarry with You for praying Your heart for myself and others during our intercession time.

I invoke Your favor this day upon our family. Cause me to call upon Thy name and stir up myself to take hold of Thee. (Isa. 64:7). “O to my heart bring back the springtime. Take away the cold, the darkness of sin. O refill me now Sweet Holy Spirit, till I am young and tender again!”

FLEE FROM THE WRATH OF GOD TO COME

These New Age teachers are actually putting together a new world religion that excludes the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They say that “all pathways” (religions) lead to God and work to transform true Christians into New Age believers. When they separate the masses from faith in Jesus; then their demonic teaching goes something like this: “A group of Master Souls (called aliens, angels) have made themselves known to the world that they may give guidance to those who, in these troubled times are seeking Enlightenment. We are seeing the end results of communication with these illumined ones (demons); motivated by the New Age to 'point the way' to self-realization, godhood through the inner mysteries of the teachings of their (false) coming “the Christ” (NOT THE REAL JESUS CHRIST).
