Spotless Bride of Christ

Various biblical symbols represent the Church; among them is
the Church's calling as the holy, radiant, spotless Bride of Christ. In the
Bible, God has likened the church to many things — among them a 'body,' a
'flock,' a 'family,' an 'army,' a 'building' and a 'planting.'

Now you are the body of Christ, (I Cor. 12:27). Be shepherds
of God's flock, (I Pet. 5:2). It is time for judgment to begin with the family
of God, (I Pet. 4:17). Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ
Jesus (an army), (II Tim. 2:3). You are God's building, (I Cor. 3:9). They will
be called a planting of the Lord, (Isa. 61:3).

Another magnificent light in which the Bible portrays the
church is as the Bride of Christ:

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory; for the
wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready, (Rev.
19:7).

Large segments of the Christian Church are unaware of the
glorious calling of the church as the Bride of Christ. Even among sincere
Christians who see and teach this truth, there seems to be much
misunderstanding.

Here is the sequence of events:  Antichrist shall rise, (I Jn. 28); he will
sign a covenant for 7 years, (Dan. 9:2); he will break the covenant after 31/2
years, and Jewish worship will be stopped, (Dan. 9:27).  Furthermore, he, the Antichrist, will sit in
the Temple of God, (II Thess. 2:4), proclaiming himself to be God (Dan.
7:25).  When you see the abomination
sitting in the temple, then great tribulation, trouble, sorrow, and persecution
such as never seen before will be made manifest (Dan 12:1). God will shorten
the days, else no flesh shall be saved (Matt. 24:22); the entire world will
worship him (Rev. 13:8); and so on and so on…

Age Movement

About half of the Americans who are familiar with the New Age
movement don’t take its teachings seriously, and a third of them say New Age
thought runs counter to Judeo-Christian teaching, says a new poll by the
Princeton Religious Research Center.

The poll also shows that the general population’s awareness of the
New Age is low, but the number of Americans who adhere to New Age practices is
alarmingly high, even among professing Christians. “Many who consider
themselves good Christians nonetheless have engaged in practices that seemingly
are counter to the teaching of their church,” the pollsters said.

Roughly half of all Americans say they believe in extrasensory
perception.

o   
Thirty percent of Roman Catholics and 22 percent of Protestants
say they believe in clairvoyance, while 48 percent of Roman Catholics and 44
percent of Protestants say they believe in psychic healing, the poll shows.

o   
The poll indicates that 25 percent of both groups believe the
movement of the stars may help govern the affairs of men and women.
